- MagicMediaBox like other media players (Roku) are designed to stay on (there's no OFF button). It only costs approx. $5 to run all year. It goes into sleep mode when not in use. If you want to turn it off, you can use the remote or unplug it. But it's meant to stay on.
- Your MagicMediaBox can be turned off using the power icon at the Home Screen, but to start your MagicMediaBox you have to disconnect and connect again power plug. It is only way to turn on media player boxes.
- Your TV should be powered on first and then your MagicMediaBox.
Troubleshooting:
- After powering up the MagicMediaBox (red LED on) and you do not see a picture on your TV, first please check the selected video input. Then check the HDMI Cable connection (unplug, and re-plug the HDMI cable), if that does not help that can mean your TV resolution is not supported. So to fix it please connect the Media Box to a different TV and from the home screen go to SYSTEM > Settings > System > Video output > Resolution. Set different resolution that fits your TV and check the Magic Media Box again on the first TV.
- Movies are not playing. Reboot your MagicMediaBox. Make sure your internet connection is working, use an ethernet cable (preferably for best connection, otherwise connect to your WiFi router with the instructions above). If your date and time is correct, then you are connected to the internet.
